Hi, I’m Kinser.
Photographer, artist, …and the heart behind Wildshape Studio.
Wildshape grew from a pretty simple idea: creative work should feel warm and real—like something that resonates. I wanted to make photographs and artwork with warmth, atmosphere, and personality… the kind of work that feels human rather than overly polished or manufactured.
“Wildshape” is more than a name to me… it’s a philosophy. I believe every idea has a shape it’s meant to take, and my job is to help it find that shape with intention, artistry, and just a little bit of magic. (ie… harnessing a wild idea!) As a child, I grew up organizing to-do lists for fun. Now, as a creative adult, I’ve found those same skillsets are what inspire me to take ideas floating around in my head and build them into something real.
Today, Wildshape is a photography and art studio rooted in curiosity, connection, and making things that mean something. Sometimes that looks like photographing a chapter of someone’s life. Sometimes it’s creating a piece of artwork, shaping a collection, or following a strange little creative idea just to see where it leads.
Whatever form it takes, I want the work to feel thoughtful, personal, and unmistakably human.
Let’s make something beautiful together.

The Story Behind the Name
Wildshape represents transformation: the many versions of ourselves we grow through across a lifetime. Sometimes that means capturing a fleeting chapter before it changes again via photographs. Sometimes it means following an idea until it becomes something real.

Wildshape is about transformation.
Life moves in chapters: quiet, chaotic, moving, painful, and beautiful pages that make up each of our individual stories. We grow into new versions of ourselves constantly: becoming partners, parents, graduates, families, artists, survivors, dreamers.
Those moments deserve to be remembered not just because they’re milestones, but because they mark who we were becoming at the time.
Photography lets us hold onto those fleeting seasons for just a little longer.
That is the true inspiration for what Wildshape means to me. -
Yes… the name is also a TTRPG reference.
“Wild Shape” is an ability used by druids… as shapeshifters deeply connected to nature, storytelling, and transformation. The inspiration comes partially from my time playing in a multi-year campaign as a level 16 druid— and falling in love with collaborative storytelling and the way it lets us explore confidence, vulnerability, connection, growth, and change.
So tucked behind the photography and artwork is a quieter little corner for the fantasy lovers, tabletop nerds, and whimsical souls who recognize the reference immediately.
