About
Kinser Nyden
Hi, I’m Kinser.
Portrait photographer, brand strategist, artist, …and the heart behind Wildshape Studio.
Wildshape started as a way to bring soul back into branding and photography… to help people feel seen and understood, not just *styled.* After years of working on creative projects that felt professional and polished, but admittedly at times under-human, I realized what I really wanted was to create things with meaning: photos with warmth, artwork that breathes, capturing stories that resonate.
“Wildshape” is more than a name to me… it’s a philosophy. I believe every idea has a shape it’s meant to take, and my job is to help it find that shape with intention, artistry, and just a little bit of magic. (ie… harnessing a wild idea!) As a child, I grew up organizing to-do lists for fun. Now, as a creative adult, I’ve found those same skillsets are what inspire me to harness creative ideas and build them into something real.
And so, this creative agency was born. Whether you're launching a new business, looking for a portrait photographer, evolving your brand voice, looking for a one-of-a-kind piece of art, or need some voiceover skills, we’re here to help you bring your vision to life… with care and a real, beating, *human* heart.
Let’s make something beautiful together.
Sound good? Vamos.

Founder / Artist
Wildshape represents transformation: the many versions of ourselves we grow through across a lifetime. Engagements, weddings, new families, graduations, quiet seasons, fresh starts… photography gives us a way to hold onto those moments before they change again.
The Story Behind the Name
-
Wildshape is about transformation.
Life moves in chapters: quiet, chaotic, moving, painful, and beautiful pages that make up each of our individual stories. We grow into new versions of ourselves constantly: becoming partners, parents, graduates, families, artists, survivors, dreamers.
Those moments deserve to be remembered not just because they’re milestones, but because they mark who we were becoming at the time.
Photography lets us hold onto those fleeting seasons for just a little longer.
That is the true inspiration for what Wildshape means to me. -
Yes… the name is also a TTRPG reference.
“Wildshape” is an ability used by druids… as shapeshifters deeply connected to nature, storytelling, and transformation. The inspiration comes partially from my time spent playing in a multi-year campaign as a level 12 druid— and falling in love with collaborative storytelling, and discovering how it can help us explore confidence, vulnerability, connection, growth, and change.
So tucked behind the portraits and galleries is a quieter little corner for the fantasy lovers, tabletop nerds, and whimsical souls who recognize the reference immediately.
You found it! Must’ve rolled a nat 20 on your investigation check ;)
